Building my dream FC for my sons graduation present.

Hey guys!

Long time no see, I haven't logged into this account in ages when I used to own a 1979 Rx-7 my aunt gave me as a first car! Well, a lot's changed after I totaled that ride (yeah I crashed it trying to drift) and I've driven many cars since then before landing my recent LS400 and Altima as dailies. A recent purchase that has led me back here though is my new 1987 Mazda Rx-7 NA I bought recently from someone who decided to swap the engine out for a 13b Turbo II! Long story short, I asked him how much and the rest is history or for another time I can find to write more on the details of the purchase. The big thing is, I finally bought a car I've always wanted to drive and build into a drift car since first driving my first rotary over 20 years ago.

So the FC is sort of a fun project car my son and I can bond over, I bought this as motivation for my son to graduate on time as well (smart Dad move right?). Most of all, gives us some bonding time to drive around in the car and work on little things here and there that we can do around the house with our limited set of tools. I have two other dailies that can get the wifey and I to work so besides keeping those cars well maintained I can be focused on fixing the previous owners dirty laundry list before moving onto upgrades for her and hopefully get her ready for the skid pads up north at Thunderhill Raceway.

Looking forward to updating and participating in the forums!

Welcome to the forum!!! Would love to see pictures of the car! Definitely a great plan for a father and son project! How much work needs to be done to the car? Does it currently run and drive?
