Back in a RX7 finally
After a few years without having a RX7, I have finally rejoined the rotary ranks. My name is Raymond, I am 25 and this is my 4th rx7. My new toy is a 1988 Vert. Im enjoying it so far. I was curious though, are there any respectable and knowledgable enthusiasts in my area with rotary mechanical expertise as well? I live in the Brandon area, near Tampa and its been a while since i have done anything with a rotary. So someone I could contact with questions would be awesome.

WTF my car is overheating....I cant post in the technical forums til ive been a member longer so Ill state my problem here. My car is over heating, its not losing any coolant, and its not smoking, there isnt any water in the oil, it isnt the radiator caps, there is no air in the system, im pretty sure it isnt the fan...The car ran great and just started getting hot out of no where, it was soo hot it was boiling in my over flow tank. Anyway, now it gets pretty hot and levels out, but still maintains a temp hotter than normal, its stays about 3/4 up the temp gauge. What do you all think? Thermostat? Water Pump?

might need to be bled properly....they will do that if not bled properly...make sure to remove all air bubbles then check to refill fluids. if its not that then next u wanna check thermostat....i usually replace these every time i buy an Rx-7. you can get one from Mazda, only use OEM Mazda thermostats...OEM FTW. and if it aint that then its the water pump failing. but usually thats not the case...
