Another new one
Hello all,
Finally got the FC I drooled over when I was a youngster, 89 T2. I don't have the history of working on cars that some do, but I am a clinical engineer for a hospital and so do work with my hands a lot! Going to scour this sight for what looks to be a ton of knowledge and get to know my car well. It's slightly modded already, plan to start with reliability stuff. Going to ask a lot of questions! Seriously, have loved these cars since I was a teenager, and they were new, so glad to have found one! It's not home yet, scared of the dry rotted tires, I'll throw some pics up once it's in the driveway.
I'll be speaking to you soon!

I sort of do, interesting story actually. Five or six years ago a friend of another player came to join our D&D game, he drove an FD. I mentioned I had always loved RX7s and was intrigued by the rotary engines. A session or two later he drove an FC, this was the generation I really love and asked if he wanted to sell. He said he would, but at the time I didn't have the cash. i have little ones so it kind of became just a dream to get it. evidently I mentioned the car with some frequency, because my wife contacted him and surprised me with the cash in my book bag when I went to play a session at his house.
The car car itself has been started and driven pretty regularly, but not enough to to wear out the tires. They are dry rotted with a ton of tread left. He owned the car ten plus years and was a friend of the previous owner. He has put a little money into it, but his FD got the majority of his time. It does have tokico hp suspension, an arc intercooler and an exhaust system with down pipe installed. Not installed but included are a boost controller and a air/fuel meter.
As as mentioned I plan reliability mods first, but need to take into account what's already done when I plan. Question about that soon!

Welcome and congrats! Cant wait to see the pics. You probably already know this, but those Series 5 turbo2s are getting more and more rare and valuable. If it's not a beater, you scored!
lol, FDs definitely have a way of taking up the majority your time (and money).
