before last week it had been a looooong time since I had even looked at an rx7, much less driven one. At the end of July this year I bought an 88 turbo 2... shell.
I was actually looking for an MR2 project car, but this popped up with a nice ls1/t56 combo on a pallet next to it for a great deal, so my plans quickly changed. I also already have a 2001 z06, so I was very familiar with the LS platform compared to the 3sgte where I was fairly unfamiliar.
To make a long long story short, the next weekend we had the motor dropped in, and the following weekend we had first crank/idle. Last week the car was fully roadworthy, and passed inspection so it’s fully street legal! Still have a ton of loose ends to tie up, but I’m very happy this car landed on my radar so far!
