2JZ GE FD? Why not!
Hi my name is Michael, my ss # 000-00-0000, my phone # is 444-444. I currently have no "real residence" so I call Pensacola, FL my home. I had a 93' RX7. It got a bit of a scratch due to a drunk driver. Now that I'm in the Marines (more money and time), and I'm not going to be able to use my pov too much I find it a perfect opportunity to destroy a perfectly good FD and throw a 2JZ in it. Here for some info, and meet some folks.

2jz is a great engine but the trans is geared all wrong for the rx7. I believe it's 6th is .80 and the engine only revs about 6000rpm.
Long story short 75 mph ur engine is screaming the swap is no good
The ls1 with t56 works because it has two od gears .50 6th gear so the engine is relaxed at 75mph
Fuel economy is good too
I love the rotary and am working on a low budget build with no sacrifice in performance. I've found simple solutions to common rotary problems fixing fuel consumption an reliability issues. My fc is my 3rd build its almost done

Eventually a garret gt35r but will start tunning with the chineese version because of cost. My car has 3.9 rear which helps. I won't port it more than a street port in fear of loosing low end hp needed for the street. I'll force enough air and fuel in. Also I'm carburated which is inexpensive. When I add the turbo I'm upgrading to a fully progrmable ignition leading and no trailing ignition at all.

I'll have to keep track of your project. I'm currently working on putting a 1.5jz in my FC. The previous owner was fed-up with the rotary, bought the Tech2 Kit and then got married... as they say, "the rest is history".
