20yr Rotary Hiatus, For Both of Us, '83 FB Track Aspirations
Hi!
I recently bought an '83 FB to build into a fun track car after a 20yr hiatus since owning a rotary. Probably just going to do some HPDE, maybe some 'cheap car' endurance racing. There's sooo much info on this site to digest, but I think I'm narrowing my focus. Looking at lots of threads of NA street and bridge 6-port builds, ford/toyota axle swaps w/ 3-link, .. maybe a front subframe swap?? And the aftermarket ECU fuel/ignition/logger/dash threads have been a huge rabbit hole, there's soo much to it.
But I got a start, found a car. It's spent the last 20yrs under a tree after previous owner took a hit to the front end (..maybe FE subframe swap?). Rest of the tub and body is straight and will strip and blast down to a good clean start. I'm hoping I'll be able to jump into a few threads that have some fun stuff to get some tech guidance. Here we go!

Thanks. I think I’m going to need it.
Picked up a renesis engine today. I need to read up on if the e-shaft and rotors are worth the trouble to machine for an S5, or S3 engine.
