ON 1989 gxl na

hello everyone.

so i decieded as my first car i wanted to go with a rotary engine and the only real option was of course the rx-7. so i started looking around and found a 1989 rx-7 gxl, with 160000km on it. everything on it works, except for:

the sunroof w/ rust
one headlight seems to be siezed a bit(still comes up and down just takes longer)
window trim on both drivers and passengers side is rusted
and the drivers wnidow goes down but not up(not the motor or switch already checked)

even the factory suspension 'changer thing' works. you can feel the suspension get softer or harder.

and i got all of this for $1500. so what do you guys think? did i get a good deal? keep in mind i am in canada and for some reason every rx out here seems to be a convertable? what can i say we really like the cold.

here are the pictures

it looks pretty clean. if it runs good and no major mechanical problems, you got a real good deal. those in that shape in my area go for about 2500. the outer window trim is typical. you can get new ones for 50 each at the dealer and those are made of plastic so they won't rust again.

id say you got a good deal. i agree with you, i really dont like the verts all that much. And, for 1500, i think you got your money's worth. i've got a '90 gxl na and it's in similar shape, so if you decide you want some interior parts, carpets, seats, speakers, etc, i got em up for sale, just PM me if you're looking around for something. good luck buddy!
