Hey everyone.

I bought my 1985 RX-7 GS in March, and never really got around to posting up on here. I've been sort of skimming some of the forums, and this one seems to be the most solid so I figured I'd try and become more active.

My car had 99k on the clock when I bought it, and has 101k on it now. It was family-owned from new, going from an aunt, eventually to a father as a weekend midlife crisis sort of toy, and finally to a young girl who liked the car and babied it, but wasn't too excited about the idea of a two-seater. And so, her loss is my gain. I talked her down a grand on the price, getting her to part with it for $2,000. It came with a ton of records, and a few new bits and pieces as well.

For now, this car is my daily driver and project. I previously drove a 1990 NA MX-5 and a 2002 Subaru WRX Wagon, as well as a few older lifted Subaru Wagons. When I had the WRX Wagon, I was driving 100 miles a day, 6 days a week. Nowadays, I drive about 15–20 miles a day on average, and try and get in a good blast on my days off.

Given the amount of oddball things I've had to sort out in the first two months, just by Googling the problems and relying on my $1 Haynes manual, I imagine I'll be posting here a lot in the future.
