you should see the one my roommate bought for 500, don't mean to thread hijack, but IMO it's probably the best deal I've ever seen, he gets offers every once in a while for 4000+

I think I was 16 with a turbo II at one point, or maybe 17? either way, I also got mine for $500 ^^, and people offered $4000 plus while it was running. hmmm, if I had some advice to give....
#1- don't sell it
#2- don't blow the engine (or rebuild it if you do!)
#3- don't act a fool (race on the track/autocross, spirited drives on the street but not hittin the limits)
yea, I definitely regret taking too many chances on the street, this led to the blowing of my engine (boost creep) which I also regret, and I prepared to rebuild (bought some parts...) but regret not doing so, lastly and most importantly I regret selling the damn car the most. So I had to share that as I was in a similar situation at one point, although I started with a FB rx-7, which I happen to still have now (21 y/o) and plan to build up to surpass the enjoyment that my turbo II was. I did autocross my T2 for a season though, and suggest that as it really helps improve your driving skills and its a lot of fun, there has gotta be a group around you. so there I wrote you a book,

damn **** looks lagit. good find man. i got my 87t2 when i just turned 17. but it was very very very very very very short lived due to the fact i totalled a car the same day i got the 7 and had to get rid of it couple hours after i bought it.
-just don't drive like a dumbass on the street passing people on the median and all that junk. usually never good ending for the driver nor the automobile.

yeah i'm gunna get the rx7 on a dyno so i can get it tuned nice before i start driving. I'm a junior but at my school we are allowed to drive to school. so i'll just be taking it from school and back but i plan on finding a track to race on. i'm a real speed nut and i don't wanna get in trouble on the street. as for doing stuff to the FC. i just wanna make it real clean it's got the s5 rear lights and fd rims and all. and it's got some engine work already so not much i wanna do with it. just fix the interior up a bit and get it tuned really well. see if i can get it to do under 12 seconds.

It had a cat replacement pipe, and the dealer had a $1500 estimate on it for bad injectors and a couple other things. It also had one dented fender where the previous owner hit a deer.
I hooked it up to a trailer and towed it to a buddy's house.
CAS was in backwards ( the dealer didn't spot that.) and it had been sitting for too long. A little oil in the combustion chamber and cranking the engine forever and it fired up...
Replaced the fender and it was in perfect shape... So $250 for a clean T2 was the best deal I've ever seen.
