YourAutoTrim.com review: Unisuede, Carbon Fiber Soft, and Luxury Carpet
I recently purchased some samples from http://www.yourautotrim.com.
I purchased the:
High Performance Luxury Carpet
Unisuede - Automotive Suede
and Carbon Fiber Soft - Black Vinyl embossed seat material.
Unisuede:
The Unisuede isn't too bad for a Suede at $50 a yard. The touch is very soft. I could tell that it isn't very durable because some of it would rub off. This isn't for a high traffic area like a shift ****, or arm rest, or seat. It would rub off too quickly. The look isn't very impressive. It is more luxurious than stock, but it doesn't have that deep rich texture to it. The black unisuede is especially dull. I noticed that other colors like the ginger had a nice texture to them though.

Ginger looks really nice:

The perforated has a cool texture to it that I could totally see going on a sunvisor or sunroof panel to give some contrast to the headliner

The material is also really thing and easy to bend/stretch. It would be easy to cover a pillars, consoles, kneebars etc.

Spradling - Carbon Fiber "Soft" - Black:
This is pretty cool stuff. You could cover the inside part of your steering wheel, the inside part of a door panel, or cover some gauge pods with it or something. It has that high tech carbon fiber look, but is not real carbon fiber. It's just an outline pressed into vinyl. It looks really good though. It's very soft, not plasticy. It's also light and durable.

9400 Series High Performance Luxury Carpet
I wasn't too impressed with the carpet. It's house quality so it's very plush and deep, but if you are going to replace all your carpet and go all out you might as well get the best. This carpet is only $26 a yard, which is pretty cheap. If I was going to replace my carpets I would get something that says WOW instead of ohhh... This is good stuff it has a very nice feel and look, and the backing is flexible. It's just not what you would find in a Ferrari or something hehe.

Out of all these products I would only buy the carbon fiber soft or the carpeting. You could do some cool stuff with these. Honestly there has to be a better suede product though.
The faux suede in this thread looks really good:

The texture comes thru more.

Doug the Carbon Fiber vinyl looks really good. Maybe you could LMK where you got that. Not that I am a sowing expert, but you never know when custom applications call for something extra. Thanx, looks real good!!
