I have worked on a couple SPL competition cars before and I dont even understand half of what you said. #1 this should be in the Interior/Exterior/Audio section. #2 Maybe you should say what size speakers your trying to install where and what model of car you have. I have heard ADS amps are good, but I haven't worked with them before, personally I would go with Phoenix Gold or PPI over them. JL Amps are also very good. What and how do your JL Subs power something? Where are you placing the subs, what size are they, and what kind of box are you using? If you have a touring IMO with an aftermarket stereo the system is pretty decent, however I am going to be putting in a 5 1/4 component set and placing 2 JL Audio 10W7's in the rear cargo area , not sure what amplifier yet. I havent measured the mounting depth in the doors but I would think 2 1/8 would sit just fine without modifications.

Diamond Hex 600s components come with 6.5" woofers; stock front speakers are sized at 5-1/4", that's why the shop said they won't fit.
As far as a/d/s goes, in mobile audio and otherwise, they are considered high-end and their gear is top notch. No worries there.
And I don't get, "i went with two jl subs to power them". Did you mean amps?

I've got Boston Acoustic mids and highs in my doors, the tweeters are mounted up high on the door panel. Near perfect fit, I believe they are 5.25" though. Have Pioneer 5 X 8 in the rear spaces.

sorry for the confusion. i am using the jl amps to drive the ads components. 4 inch components in the front and 5.25" in the rear. sucks the diamond audio components don't fit. heard they were really nice. the ads cost just as much if not more. oh well....

Boston Pro 6.5 components. 6-1/2" drivers, 2-3/8" mounting depth, fit fine in my non-bose R1, hell, with a dremel and a little time I even placed my crossovers in the door.
I wouldn't trust an install to any shop though, unless you have no ability or tools then maybe, but otherwise it's not that difficult.
