I wonder if MX5 Miata hub many others use has the same gap because I picked WB over that one due to the accordion design (instead of the flat one of the MX5 hub).

I had pushed the black plastic bellows shaped plastic piece back toward the steering column garnish.
After having the stock steering wheel back on for a bit I reinstalled my aftermarket one.
I painted the gap where the silver aluminum of the hub adapter showed with black textured Duplicolor truck bed liner (my go to surface treatment).
Looks better, I will put a pic up.

Okay... My before picture doesn't really show the annoying shiny WB hub adapter peeking out in front of the plastic bellows piece after I pushed it back to clear the gap. I wasn't really trying to get a picture of something that annoyed me.

I used Duplicolor Truck Bed Liner to paint the gap and nicely finished black hex bolts that came with a Daikei quick disconnect instead of the shiny stainless button head hex screws that came with the WB Rapfix GT-C Hybrid.
In person it is more of a difference, one less shiny thing catching your eye distracting from the overall balance of the car.

Side note : What happened to your Nardi shift ****? Did it flex too much on hard shifting?
You are exactly right on the Nardi ****. It felt low quality with how much the plastic moved around under the leather. In addition, when I switched steering wheels it was no longer matchy-matchy.
I did like how with the light Nardi **** I could really feel the transmission and engage shifts in the most mechanically sympathetic way possible. I feel like I am ramming it home brute forcing the match with the stock weighted ****.
I really want to get a black wood/arcylic/delrin/nylon ball or really a ghost shaped **** (ball with skirt at bottom.)

Yeah I have the same shift ****... looks great till you try to shift it a bit harder and it kind of stuck up higher too. I also wanted to match my nardi wheel... Ended up going back to stock ****... best one yet.... Black wood is an interesting idea.
