FL To Wide body or not to Wide body (FD)!

Ok so heres my my story...

Blew the motor in my fd back in March, I contemplated for a month on weather or not to put a rotary back in. Decided to go with 1jgvvti and the whole burnout kit for the body... well 10 months later i finally have all the parts here and debating weather or to put the wide fenders on or not. As much as I love how the wide body looks, I love just as much the look of the stock fender line. Either way im keeping the front bumper with feed sides and diffuser in the back. Just cant decide if I wanna put the wide on or not...Keep in mind I have been out of a car since march, and putting the wide on will add on more time to this whole ordeal. also The walk to work seems to be getting colder and colder! lol

Anyone have any opinions???

Only widebody worth messing with the stock lines over is the Pettit rear flares and possibly feed front fenders, of course that is just my opinion.

As nice as the burnout kit may be do you think the fit and paintjob on your end will be top quality? If you think it'll be done right without cutting corners then go for it, since you already have the bodykit. If you feel like you'll get lazy or broke and cut corners, then go with stock body, always a winner anyway.

My body man does an excellent job, not worried about that, the only thing is that he has another job so basically he can only work on it like 2 hrs a day...so it would take basically another month to put on.
and about being broke... haha ive been broke since March so not too much of a change there!!

Burnout Kit is for n00bs..

Oh wait...I bought it too...

Haven't installed yet, otherwise I'd give you a first-hand account of quality and give some tips or suggestions.

I haven't even SEEN the body components themselves, yet...but I will in like < 2 weeks when I go home to GA where my car is.

I'll give you my opinion on the quality of the parts "out of the box". I'm referring to the front replacement fenders and rear fender "flares" that must be molded into place.

Ditto that.

Residual value might not be a concern right now but it's something to think about.

if you ever plan on selling the car then a widebody kit is only gonna lessen the number of people intersted in purchasing your car. It's kind of a personal thing.

If it suits your needs then go for it... but just know it'll hurt resell value greatly.

I'm in the process of doing a molded Pettit flares and side skirts for my 20b project. IMO molding is the way to go and helps keep the stock body lines due to the smoothness in transition. They also look insane from the back. A nice round *** is always better lol!
