ive been seriously debating on one since a year now.my friend had one and i was impressed by his. income tax time and ill be getting somthin, just not sure yet. i have an alpine in my dd and i very much like it, lots of functions and features and it seems that kenwood has almost the same. im lookin to spend around 250-300. i wish i could afford the 25 anni edition, very nice.

I like Kenwood. Good features per price ratio.

I have two friends that are audio engineers and they believe the sound quality is good (With appropriate speakers though.)

I just bought the 25th edition.. Sound is really nice so far. Although it definatly needs an amp..Has a myriad of functions that I am yet to figure out, and perhaps Ill never use.

i just bought a kenwood kdc789 deck and a kac8402 4 channel amp and i am impressed with the sound and performance. the deck has a built in g-meter and color changes for visual amusement, and you can turn off the internal amp for better signal quality to your amps.i found good prices at etronics.com or onlinecarstereo.com..there may be others but i havent been shopping for a while. and non-refurb means it hasnt been sold, then returned and inspected by the manufacturer then re-sold. most of the time there is nothing wrong with these, and if you can get a decent warranty you should be okay. i prefer to pay a little more for new, just so i know it hasnt been fqd with.and if you buy on ebay just use paypal or deal with a seller with lots of positive feedback. if you dont get your stuff paypal will usually get your money back without too much hassle. good luck
