Well it nots going to be as good as a passport or valentine, but I have the top of the line cobra and it has saved me several times. Enough times to pay for it self by now, but remember no radar detector can detect a cop with a laser on a bike or outside is his car quick enough to slow down. Also cops around here have been turning off their radar and than right when you pass them they turn it on, that way your radar detector doesnt detect it.

i have the older version of cobra radar and also the radar saved me a few times now and then, but nowdays cops in L.A are getting smarter, way smarter and i really need to find a way to outbeat them. PM me if any1 know a beter system than cobra radar detector as i was planning to change it and give my old one to my gf mazda miata.

ok here is a pretty good system

Escort Passport 8500 X50 linked w/
Escort Shifter ZR3
and also run a Police Scanner (you will have to do more research on this as the models are constantly changing)

That setup will set you back around $1,000 in total but should help you avoid almost any tickets and also let you know if someone calls you in for speeding etc.
