Question Who has painted their cars IBM?

I was just wondering how many people out there have painted their FD'S in 99 spec Innocent Blue Mica? So post your favorite shots & angles if you get a chance, we want to see them ALL!! Also, how extensive did you get in your repaint? engine pull, inside trunk, etc.... Last question is how much did you spend, and how is the quality? thanks.... and lets see some pictures cause IBM ROCKS

Do a search for FD3Sboost, he's posted several pics of his IBM car in the interior and suspension forums.

I believe the famous Mr. Stock had his car painted with a Corvette-code blue. If I'm wrong, then oops

You should see one in person. From what I understand the pics and lighting can drastically change what you think it will look like. Might be worth a drive just before you order.

The regular VR paint is pretty pricey already. I'd hate to see what they might ask for IBM...

There is no such thing, especially in the Bay Area....

Run a search in the West forum, there's been quite a few threads about it.

DavidDeco: why would one paint color be more expensive than another? dont they just mix the color to spec?

I don't know - but actual cost to make often has nothing to do with retail price. Maybe they aren't. I had a VR and now a blue one I bought to transplant into my old parts is being painted VR now so all I know is that over the decade every time I've needed paint, the body shop (a half dozen differnt ones) always remark how pricey the paint is.

I was supposing that IBM might be pricier because it's newer and not as common (VR is like the most common FD color there is although I don't see that many here).

OT: I actually though of going IBM too since the car is already the MB but in the end you just can't beat red
A red sports car will always be hot looking, blue is the color of the moment with several cars. It's like my Yellow Xterra...I had to special order that car to get my desired specs and waited months for it to be delivered. I thought I was so special with everyone like "wow".

(Now I see a half dozen yellow Xterras EVERY SINGLE F*KING DAY.)
