So what exactly is involved in calibrating? Do you simply drive it, see how much is off, then lift needles and try again?

Yeah pretty much. Just remember what your idle is before you take it apart and make sure it's the same when u put it back together. To calibrate the speedometer your tach should be calibrated; in 5th gear @ 2500 rpm, you should be going 60mph... I think. Rather than actually lifting the needles every time u need to adjust it gauges, you can actually just move the needles out of their normal range of motion in either direction to accomplish the same thing. If you plan on doing this and have an aol im account, just send me an im. My aol im is potatoBBQ. It's not really THAT hard, just hard to explain.

Thanks! I have an auto...I'll just lock it into 3rd and take readings. I'm thinking first do RPM face, recalibrate - then do the speedo face. Sounds right?

One of these days I need to get a IM account set up...
