Where to get true HID kits for FC3S?

Where to get true HID kits for FC3S?

I want to get a true HID kit for my FC, but I am stumped on finding where to get a kit for it. any help?

ive got my kit from www.misterjung.com

some people complain about short life of their bulbs but my friends and i dont have any problems so far. i just wish they carry either 4100k or 4300k bulbs.

I guess my next question would be; Does a HID kit have to be for a particular car, or can you just buy a universal kit and use it?

There is no such thing as a universal kit. All cars require specific types of bulbs or headlamps. They are standardized so there are only maybe 15 different bulbs and headlamps. Your FC uses the old large rectangular headlamp. In the US the D.O.T. only allowed the use of sealed beam assemblies back then, where the bulb and housing are sealed together. In europe and other places I'm sure, they could use an H4 headlight which consists of a separate bulb and housing.
You need to buy two things:

An H4 HID kit - misterjung.com has the dual beam H4

H4 headlight housings - look through magazines or search the net they are not hard to find. The better brands are Hella or Cibie

Buy the Hella headlamp housings that fi the stock locations and make sure there H4 and get the HID H4 kit.
