Take it from someone who has them, its a waste of money, i dont ever use it, i just use it regular. Your best bet is to spend the money on a worthwhile upgrade.

I am asking you from the bottom of my heart, please do not make a beautiful, sexy automoblie into a f@#$ing **** bucket. I know these are harsh words, but look at the fact that you are putting something that stupit kids, guys that can't be layed and the few highend car builder that spend $100K put on there cars to give it the attention that they crave from being neglected as a teenager. scince you have bought a FD you can't be that stupit. so I ask you please don't.
as a designer for a career, I completely believe in the idea the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but beauty and **** are a fine line you are about to cross.
no I am not mean. just honest. I would expect the same from my friends and fellow FD owners.

It's your car, do what you want that makes you happy. First, you have to realize that not all kits are the same. Do some searching, some kits don't give you a lot of entry space due to design. You also get what you pay for. Something else to consider is that you will need to lengthen the door's wiring for the new range of motion. Give it try, if you don't like the new hinges you can always revert to stock. I've seen worse things done to FDs. You'll never be truly happy with your car if you worry about what everyone else wants done to your car. P.M. me if you need more info and check out the N.W. section for (my FD build). I have posted with pics, a write up on my GT Factory hinge install. -Matt

I believe most Labo's still have verticle doors. Now granted, people putting verticle doors on suburbans and honda civic's is laughable. I think verticle doors can look good on tastefully done FD's and even more so FD's with body kits.
