Where to find recaro rails for FD and recaro belt pads.

I have Recaro SRD's for my FD and need seat rails. What website or where can i find them at? also, i have Sparco 4- point harnesses and i dont want the giant sparco logo clashing with the recaro stitching on the seats. So i want the seat belt pads that have "recaro" stitched in them. where can i find all these goodies?
BTW i dont want the generic EBAY knock off POS looking recaro seat belt pads..
thanks

Hmmm, this might be a hard concept to grasp, but why don't you pick up a telephone and ask one of these vendors that sells Recaro products. I imagine they can order a set of rails for you. I know calling someone and talking to them might be hard for you, but quit being a lazy *** and call.

The internet has turned people into a bunch of social retards.

No it's not, it's called researching, just like you said. Shops are used to people calling in all the time to find a price. It's nothing new.

I called Dave today, and he told me both sources he checked showed that FD specific Recaro rails were only available up to '91....NOTHING for 3rd gens. So he said he'd make a few calls and get back to me...

Patience...let him get back to me first.

Worst case scenario, I know Mitch from Piper Motorsports uses FD-specific Sparco rails and modifies them as necessary to fit whatever seats you have. And I BELIEVE that the sparco rails can also use tilt adaptors, so the whole seat can tilt back and forth...

Pat, you mind helping me out on this then? Cuz I contacted Recaro in the US, they told me to call Recaro Germany. The # they gave me was invalid, and no one replied to my email.

I'm actually looking for the 2002 Recaro RZ seat rails...(from them or Mazda). They're the ones that also have a tilt function...the entire seat can tilt back up to 3 clicks I believe...

Thanks
~Ramy

Why dont you try contacting JT Imports. I'm sure they could get you FD specific rails from Recaro Japan.

I did...haven't heard back from him. He said they stock the regular rails...but the ones w/ the tilt feature, he'd hafta ask. Oh and I'm ASSUMING he checks w/ Mazda, not Recaro. I'd like prices from both, ya know? I have a feeling that Mazda's prices might be just a wee bit higher LOL

yeah, mazda prices will be just a little bit higher than normal.

I do know that diyman25 and cossie both got recaro rails from japan. I'm sure if you PM'ed them, they could help you out in trying to get them. But i dont know if cossie posts here anymore since selling the car.

What seats were you gonna get? IF/when you get the rails and the seats, post pics, i'd like to see how low they sit.

Good old Jason hehe.

I'll be honest w/ ya Jason, I've never personally saw the rails w/ the tilt feature, but there was a set of RZs on Ebay maybe 2 weeks ago tops, and he had pics of the rails, and mentioned that they allow the seat to tilt in 3 diff clicks or positions. Given that the seat backs themselves don't recline, getting the tilt feature is a no-brainer to me...

But yea, if you can check the parts catalog, that would be great (you're so lucky...I want a parts catalog! lol)

Lemme ask ya this. I know some brackets (eg. Sparco, see http://www.cardomain.com/shop/item.pl?sku=SPA00494) have a tilt seat base adapter you can use on the seat rails...anyone know if Recaro does this as well?

ROTORhead93, thanks for the info. Oh, and why I'm getting Recaros of course Pics coming soon...

No, I thought it was a local #! LOL. Shush dork haha. It's a good point, but yea I tried, and the # was invalid. 011, country code, etc etc.

BTW, Dave called me back today and told me there are no FD-specific seat brackets by Recaro...but there's a company in California that's developing them for them?? So he said it shouldn't be too long until they're available.

So...back to square one... Jason, ya hear anything yet?
