Where is the cheapest place to buy 99spec front bumper?
humm so i see corksport is cheapest. i didn't see or really know how to navigate through mazda motorsports, and i have no clue why the rebar is so expensive as well. i mean 400+ for a bumper i understand. 300+ for lights really not worth the money buttt still need to buy it.. but the rebar isn't it just a piece or metal which i think is retarded to sell so so much/
humm, prob easier if i go with oem it seems....i still need to decide.. what would look better on cym.. also bryans does it have the holes already to fit the lip?
these pics are making me go towards oem, looks pretty good. but if i got oem, i have to find that plate that someone made, that says rx7 on it since florida dont need front plates

There are indents in the bottom part where you would drill the holes for the OEM lip. Those all lined up for me well.
My view: The plated 99 doesnt look "bad", but the FD is just too good looking a car to ruin the front with such a spot. Ferraris, Porsche, Viper, Corvette... none the the universally accepted "beautiful" cars have a permenant spot on the front for a plate. Honda Civics, Focuses, Corollas do though. It was worth the little bit of one time pain for me to go this route.
From all accounts Ive read on here they look nearly the exact same with the only noticable difference being that the orange part is slightly different looking when you examine it closely.

Does anyone have a pic or the rebar and how it looks. Maybe both together so I can see the difference.. It may be a better idea to cut it but I wouldn't know where or how much

of course rich to the rescue
.. crap i forgot i would need to get 99spec oil ducts... whats the difference between undertrays... man seems like i will need to save up alot more before doing this... do the lights fit snug in the cut rebar? or does it not matter if it was a little bigger?
seems like i would need then
bumper 419.00
oil cooler duct 132.00
lights like 325.. then need the adapter to not splice it another 25.00
undertray if im correct 125.00 .. i looked at corksport and i didnt really see a difference between the normal one.. i got a new one from ray about a year ago or something like that.. sucks if i need a new one..
im looking at around $1026 for everything if im correct.

Rebar - doesnt matter if the holes are too big. The bumper holds the lights in place anyway.
Just get the ebay lights - not a noticable difference.
Heres what I did:
$400 Bumper
$180 (I think it was?) 99 front lip
$100 ebay 99 combo lights
Mazda OEM emblems $60?
That'll get it on there and running. Obviously you can add the vents and undertray if you desire.

I'll disagree on the combination lights. The oem pieces are of better quality and I can definitely tell the difference, at least based on all the knockoffs I've seen.

I will end up getting own lights. What about the undertray? Will the orginal fit? I have the lip already. Won't the oil cooler duct not vent well without it?
I cant say I've ever actually saw OEM 99 combo lights, but comparing OEM 99 combo lights in pictures on here to mine they look close enough to where I cant tell
I suppose if I were parking next to a bunch of OEM 99 combo lights I might be able to tell the difference?
