Where can I find misc. interior plastic pieces for FD?

I've searched on ebay, and posted WTB on the forums. However I still cannot seem to find theses small items:
  1. Driver Side Door: Door Flipper Plastic
  2. Console Plastic: Plastic Surronding CD player & Gauges

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get theses pieces?

The a/c surround gauge pops up in the for sale section once in a while.

The cubby door, ALOT of people are missing it, or it is broken. Those can be a tough find, but you can get all these parts new if you had to, spendy though.

Malloy Mazda is your best bet unless you are very patient. Any cubby doors that appear for sale in the classifieds disappear in minutes.

Just to be sure of what you're talking about -

#1 - I'm assuming you mean the little storage bin that's in the driver's side door. The lid hinge frequently breaks. Unfortunately, Mazda only sells the WHOLE bin, about $150. Pretty much all FD's I've seen have had that door broken, so finding one used will be VERY hard.

#2 - The radio surround is pretty pricey new from Mazda. If yours is a '93 with peeling plastic, you can removed the peeling stuff and have it look pretty darn good. If it's simply broken, used ones in good shape can be tricky to find and a little pricey. I think they're $200ish new - ouch.

Is it even worth it to buy a new or used unbroken driver side storage bin? These seem to breaky very very easily and the price is so rediculous on them that I don't see how it's worth it to purchase new. Probably a MUCH better idea for you to try and repair it.

yeah, unfortunately they don't make interior pieces for the US FD anymore, but if there are any at all left, Ray will probably be your best bet. Just don't get the 93 panels because they'll look like crap after a few years anyway. if everything is still intact you might just want to take all of the pieces out, strip the paint off and repaint the pieces. I just did my driver's and passenger's side trim pieces this weekend. Takes a bit of effort to strip the old paint completely off, but once that's done as long as you take your time the rest is a breeze. The Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric flat black paint is a dead ringer for the stock interior trim, it even 99% matches the window switches.

This is not the case. If they were no longer available, Ray would not be able to get them either. They discontinued 1993 spec trim years ago (as well they should because the finish was flawed) but 1994+ pieces are still in production. I have a vague recollection of one of the interior pieces not longer being in production - but most are.

I'm pretty sure it's the center console piece with the radio and dials are, or at least that's what I was told, could be mistaken though. Did not know about the 94 pieces, though. but for those prices, i think i'll stick to my paint and thinner methods.

I repaired my lid with a #6 pan head and a nut by drilling through the hole and mounting it that way. Works great, lid will snap it'self open and close, holds it closed tight and won't rattle over bumps. It was like an 80 cent fix, and I have like 9 more of those screws and nuts as they came in a package, so it's cheap to fix Well, as long as nothing is actually broken that is. Mine just wouldn't stay in place and keep flying off everytime the door was closed.

Use plasti dip, it's 10 times better than the factory coating and doesn't scratch as it is a rubber coating.

Just in case they want the thread:

If anyone wants one, I've got that center dash panel, the HVAC surround. It has small scratches around the din openings from an a-hole stereo installer. I bought one of the last brand new panels to replace it before I knew how to refinish them. Make me an offer that makes it worth it.
