What's this wire? And antenna hook up help (FD)...
So before I shipped my car out here in February, I replaced the factory non-Bose headunit with an aftermarket one. The process turned out a little violent because the stabilizing piece of rubber in the back had deteriorated some and was really biting into the bracket in the dash. As a result, my wires suffered a bit of damage.
I installed the aftermarket headunit with a harness and everything worked fine ... except I never found the antenna connector.
Flash forward to today. I've had the car back from NepTune Speed for a few weeks now and I'm working out the little quirks from years of storage. I want the antenna to work. I don't have the factory headunit anymore for comparison.
I have these wires (red & gray ... and a piece of a gray one) connected to a standard 6 pin male ... albeit the shielding is frayed (probably from the violent removal). What are they for? And am I just missing something with the antenna connector? Is it hiding in my dash somewhere??

(I apologize for the picture ... I couldn't get my camera to focus on the wires.)

its a thick black wire with a female end on it should be on the right side of the opening and you can usually get at it from the passenger side, there are two plugs with these ends, it is the bigger of the two. you will have to buy an adaptor with male ends on both sides, if you have the after market deck it will be the same as on the deck.
or you could just get this hidden atenna, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...1512&rd=1&rd=1
thats what i have and reception is great.
