I bought this car as a restoration project. It has an ugly widee body back end. Anyone know who made this or what the kit is called so I can get a smaller smoother more original looking back end piece that will match the skirts and front additions? Maybe the company will have another set that mesh with this one without the boxy look.
Sinfully ugly back end kit. I want the smooth curves back.
That kit is sexy when done right but it has to be done all the way. It's not a widebody that's subtle however. Go full race look or remove the over fenders lol

Very well could had been racing. No side mirrors, so wasn't street legal, not even hole to attach them on the body. I'll go for the subtle look, not trying to have every brz or Suby revving on me.
Careful taking off those rear fenders. You don't know what is or isn't under there. Not only are they obviously molded in - but most likely they are riveted to the body and/or the original fenders have been cut.
If you're looking for a restoration - this isn't the right car for the project.
My .02? There's someone out there that loves that body kit. Sell it and get yourself a cleaner slate to start from.

I get what you're saying, but for the price I wouldn't be able to find another one. Not to mention there aren't any for sale in my area to begin with. the next closest one is 3 hours away and sixteen thousand dollars more. One thing I know is the original panels are under there and they were only riveted at the top where the trunk closes and under the fender so you can't tell once you take the others off.
I kinda agree with Matt. Someone out there wants the widebody. Put it on craigslist and watch the 20 year olds come running.
Also, with a kit like that, I can only imagine what kin of Fast and Furious **** that car's been through. Steer clear, IMO.
