what did you guys use to hold your side skirts on?

I'm having a hell of a time holding the skirts on to my car. There are two screws in the door jam, two in each fender well. The side of the car still sticks out about 1/2". I tried 3M double sided tape, that did not hold. I went out and got silicone based caulk, that just made a big mess which now looks like melted marshmellows. I don't want anything too strong cause I might have to take it off in the near future, but need it strong enough so it doesn't stick out and look like crap

What did you guys use? I need something quick cause it's getting hot over here and I don't want them to warp open like this

Try rivits. When you want to take them off, just drill them out... ?

There are different grades of the 3M tape. You can get wider tape and tape with more aggressive adhesive. The FD OEM skirts appear to be largely held on by tape, which I expect to work fine whenever I get around to installing them (I've got a used set and can see the old tape marks).

Courtesy of dclin, here's a couple of links to online stores:

I would expect that a heat gun and some patient prying would remove the tape & skirts if necessary-- at least that's what I hope, based on the fact that someone was able to remove the set that I bought without damage (to the skirts at least )

What kind of skirts do you have?

Thanks for that link. I'm on that site all the time, can't believe I missed that. I had no idea 3M made all those differnt tapes.

And ijneb, no rivets on my car
