What color to paint my FD?

Well My car is back together, The shop jsut needs to grind down the welds and repaint it. The shop said since they have to repaint most of the car anyway; I can change the color if I want. So, what color should I paint my car if I decide to change the color?

Its currently Black (well most of it is lol). They can paint everything for me except the engine bay, so I'll want to stick with a darker color so it won't look odd when I open the hood.

Thanks for any suggestions people.

Are they going to repainting everything (engine bay, etc)?

If not, I would keep it the same color. I'm betting they aren't planning on tearing the car down to do it right.

Ah, in that case, I wouldn't change the color. IMO, unless you aren't going to gut the car and do it right, don't do it at all.

That's just me though... When I repaint mine, it will still be red.

i think if it's a dark enough color it won't be that bad not painting the engine bay. i remember seeing a silver one with a red engine bay on the forum a while back it was crazy modded though

everythign is gettin painted except the engine bay. That means door jams and stuff undterneath the interior trim IS getting painted too. I was thinkin just go ahead and paint the rest of the car, and when I need a new engine have the engine bay painted.

Any happen to have any pics of a car that blue with white pearl?

If i was getting it done, I would go with the Spirit R silver, yellow or a dark blue. but since your not getting the engine bay painted, hell just stay black.

or you could go black with a blue pearl coat. that would look snazy

There was a guy posting pics of his car a while back that was Midnight blue pearl. It was nice.

Get the engine bay cut in or stick with black though.

the Flamenco Black Pearl from the 99 Si's is a very nice black... and in the sun it really sparkles and looks "sharp" (best word to describe it)... the BMW black (forget the real name) is very nice as well, but for some reason looks worse when it's dirty...
