Im prepping my car for a new paint job
and i kinda decided with black but don't know what kind of black
metallic black,pearl black etc
any sugestions
if you have pics please leave color detail

 

I would have said satin black but too many people doing it, so you should just do any black as long as it is a deep black.....

 

try some metallic flakes. Green?

 

Well im finally gonna buy my paint this friday and still not sure what black color to get
but i might get pearl black

it should look good the pearl will only be noticeable when the sun hits it, depending upon how much was added to the black. '

a friend of mine had his evo painted like that and it looks good.
old crx's had night hawk black. it was black with red pearl. you dont even know its there untill you really look.

be happy you didnt go with a gold pearl... its hideous.

 

i did black with red pearl, and a satin clear on my ducati... came out purple! i liked it, but repainted it again this year..

Just got the car primmerd I just need to wet sand it and paint, and clear with pearl blue should be ready in two weeks have to wait for it to dry

Did someone just turn a Ducati into a low rider?

 

Well just painted the car today and im not to happy
it was looking great in black once we finishes with the base coat
but once we added the blue pearl i was dissapointed and i think the painter added too much pearl on the clear coat so i think it was his fault
the car has too much pearl so it looks a lot of blue instead of black
the painter said once we glaze it compount it some will come of because we will be cutting the top some
so does anyone if this is true

got some pics? once its color sanded and buffed, some of the pearl WILL come out, but if you look at be bike (red pearl)... that was supposed to be BLACK with a red pearl, it came out purple... i guess you'll have to wait and find out!

yes that ducatis slammed
