Want to rip out bose system.. where to mount rear speakers?

My bose system sucks and it takes up what little trunk space there is. Where is the best place to mount rear speakers once you remove the bose system???

There are openings above the storage bins behind the seats, which look like little storage things, where rear speakers go in the Non-Bose equipped cars. You may need the bracket to fit speakers, i'm not sure.

I know what you are talking about, they are kind of oval shaped, I guess youd call them map pockets. What kind of speaker fits here stock? 4x6, 6x9 ???

If you take out the Bose subwoofer, you will have two holes in your hatch cover. I had the Bose system, took it out, and took the covers off the sub. I built speaker pods out of them with a small mid facing down. I use them for rear fill for the surround processor. Works ok, is cheap, and keeps everything looking stock.

Buy a good set of door component speakers, a good amp and a little 8/10" removable sub for the back - killer sound and the box can go away for drift day. Don't even need the rears
My "2-speaker + sub" sound system smokes most of my friends 4+ setups.. its all about good components
