Maybe a dumb question but is there a replica fortune kit? I swear i caught something on a website a while ago but cant find it.

It may not be as of good quality and may need looking after a little more but is there such a thing?

Yea, it's on ebay and it had very bad fitment, however it only cost $1k, but I don't think I would buy it. Ebay is good for some things but definitely not knock offs. If you want the Veilside kit, save up your money and buy it from them. The veilside kit is made to order so there is no way to replicate it 100%.

Most of the replicas don't have the R&D that Veilside put into it so I wouldn't bother with it.

BTW, do you live your life a quarter mile at a time like I do?

 

It is not an exact replica, there are A LOT of differences between the replica and the real deal. Unfortunately not everyone has $10,000 to drop on a body kit, if I were you I would go a different direction.

its there, saw it once for $1300... almost bought it but then I thought: replica from ebay..... naw.

 

can't be that bad? Just get the body shop to reinforce and do their thing?

 

someone needs to link pictures of the replica kit. i just want to see it out of curiosity now

 

The kit I saw on ebay was not a "replica" as much as inspired by, it included similar door skins and widened front and rear fenders, completely different front and rear bumpers from the Veilside style. Don't think the lights shown were included and were nothing like the Veilside kit. Basically the only similarity was the door attachments and that was a stretch. Just searched don't see the ad up right now, you see it every couple of weeks.

 

The guy painting my car installed a replica fortune kit. He says its absolute crap. I've seen the car in person and it looked ok I guess but I think your car deserves better.

I like it, minus the headlights they used. At least you don't have to deal with the ugly *** rear end. Put a spoiler and you'd be set

 

I notice they havnt even mentioned the word "veilside" (probably in fear of getting sued) lol. The main part about the veilside kit for me is the front lights, rear lights and spoiler but i dont think the lights effect are possible with that kit

 

the VeilSide Fortune RX7 uses stock tail lamps.

 

I love the headlights. I'd love a kit that just had something like that. I predict one could make a killing with a front only kit that included a modern headlight assembly (and didn't look tacked on like all the current headlight upgrades do now).

 

The be-level door panels are about the only influence I can see of from the Fortune kit. Otherwise, it look's nothing like it.
