unique idea for driving lights on 99 FD

I posted this on the 3G forum but it's better here.

I have been in search of some good driving lights for a while now. The stock lights just don't cut it at speed Even with the silverstar bulbs.

I wanted lights that function real well with reasonable cost and good lucks.
so I finally found some I liked.
I made a kit to mount them. The face is made of fiberglass and only primed for now. Ill paint it to match the car soon. the lights are mounted with adjusters to another plate behind them. In the summer Ill just put a plate over them to hide them.

If there is intrest, I made a mould so I can make more fairly easily. The lights Im using are hella 90mm high beams. They use an H9 bulb. Should be pretty upgradeable. I aim them straight ahead for use in comjusction with my regular high beams. The light pattern on these is great!! My plan is to add an HID kit when the price comes down.
Let me know what you think. PM me if you're intrested in your own and want to see more.

interesting to say the least...

i understand why they are in the plate holder, but why not mount them in the cutout's of the front bumper under the 99 lights to get a wider beam pattern? i think it would enhance the visual effect as well having the lights wider apart...

My idea was to not restrict the flow in those areas. In all honesty it's not too bad of an idea to put them there but the hole I had from that front plate holder was pretty ugly. I may move them in the future.

Interesting and innovative - I applaud your efforts. However, it looks like your car grew a pair of nostrils.
