would they fit on the base model? 2nd gen

 

All of the tail lights are the same, besides the newer lights on the 89-91 models. There is no difference between the turbo and non-turbo models.

 

If you are talking about the newer style round tail lights then yes they will fit. If you get a set of the round ones try to get the license plate bracket. If you cant the your stock on will need to be cut just a little to fit. The lights them selves will fit up to the bolt holes but you will have to cut the sheet metal back there just a little to clear one of the bulb holders. When you look at them while putting them in you will see what I am talking about. Its really easy.
