trunk lid /hatch in carbon fiber
I have been debating whether the carbon hatch is worth the hassle for a car that sees The track often but it is also a street car
I have seen the seibon in person. While I have never been a fan of the seibon products fitment was spot on. I dont know the weight of the seibon (given that seibon carbon products tend to be much heavier than the other more "exotic" brands)
The only thing I didnt like about the seibon is that if you attach the oem shocks, the hatch bends where the shocks are attached on the hatch
I figured to check other brands such as re amemiya which is offered in dry carbon.
Re amemiya also claims that same problem will occur with their dry carbon version
Does anyone have similar experience with carbon hatch? Do you just use weaker shocks? If so, anyone has a part number and share your experience?

I say don't do it, I purchased a carbon fiber from a vendor and it does flex a lot. I have a wing installed on it as I am driving it makes extra noise, like it's rubbing something...
Also I haven't found a pair of shocks that didn't flex the hatch either.. one time on a hot day it lifted it 3/4". Also over time the area the shocks mount to will crack the hatch as well.

Very interesting observations from both of you. Thank you
I have been thinking whether I should get the one from australia ad it came on the sp models. The I.pollard carbon. Not sure if its gonna be the same story with that one though
