Tomei Duracon Shifter
Well, I got bored the other day and bought me a Tomei Duracon shifter (90mm). I figured I would give it a review as I couldn't seem to find any useful information regarding these anywhere. So here goes.
I bought this shift **** to replace my MazdaSpeed leather/weighted ****. Why? Simply put, I am strapped for cash and I do not need a hundred something dollar shift ****.
Upon opening the package, I discovered that the **** actually felt like it had some weight to it. Obviously, not as much as the MazdaSpeed which was heavy as hell for its size.
Now, it should be mentioned that I also have a short shifter installed on this vehicle (fc); and with the MazdaSpeed ****, shifting just felt way too notchy so to speak. After installation of the Tomei, shifting seemed much smoother, not as forced, and generally more enjoyable. This could be due to the lighter weight along with the short shifter as well as the height of the **** adding just a little bit more leverage as well.
With that said, here is a picture.
(shift **** also comes with a decal for gear selection, but I chose not to use it)

In conclusion:
Tomei Duracon:
-Has a decent amount of heft
-Comfortable
-Never gets hot
-Seemed to make shifting better (on my setup)
-Pretty cheap
There you have it.
