im getting ready to move from FL to KY and was wondering if the new 35% tint i put on was illeagal up there? thnx guys!

 

i'm in louisville all the time. my truck has 20% all around and i've never been looked at. i'd say you'll be okay

In Ohio it would be illegal. The limit here is 50%. I'm sure you could get away with it though.

 

we in indiana share the sme tint limt with kentucky its 15%

 

so in KY its legal?

 

15% is darker than 35% so I would have to say yes it is legal, if the legal limit is 15%.

 

also "the fuzz" in ky dont really care, my friend drove around with limo tint on all the windows(even the windshield but that was a 20% tint) and no body stopped him for the whole two months he was there.

Note: Tinting your windshield is illegal and should not be performed just because the cops dont care. Also its scary as hell being the passenger when someone has 20% tint on the windshield at night. So to avoid tickets,court cases, and the extremely foul smell from the passenger when you going at random high speeds without seeing anything DO NOT TINT THE WINDSHIELD

ah ha...yeah, thatis scary. and i also do not recommend the tint on the windsheild

 

that reminds me, when i used to sell cars a cop traded in a yellow mustang with limo tint on all the windows and REALLY dark tint on the windshield. when it was in the show room we used to get in the car and take naps because you couldnt see the inside of the car at all if you were on the outside. the car also had a huge bottle of nitrous in the trunk.... his license plat was BTLFED... oh and he kept a riot helmet in his trunk too.

 

yeah you will be fine in the big KY the cops here dont care..
