Perhaps you'd be better helped if you specified what sort of parameters you're using: Reclining seat or a racing seat? Harness or factory seatbelt? Additional headroom requirements?

I have heard that the corbeau cr-1 is a good choice for a very reasonable price. They also have FD specific rails. What I don't know is how much headroom you can gain/lose from them.

Honestly, the options are VERY limited. If you want quality, good fitment, and custom rails, you are looking at Bride as really the only commonly available option. Everyone else either doesn't fit perfectly, you have to make rails for, or they are JDM only (ie, tough to get).

OK but not sure why you moved it. What model of Bride? Are you sure no one on this site has done anything to get others to fit? The post above recommended another seat, not a Bride.

Bride has some seats that fit.

Sparco Torino
Corbeau A4 & CR1
F1Spec has a Bride-like reclineable seat which should fit.

Basically, what you need to do is to look around at the different seats. Then, compare the seat dimensions to the Sparco Torino. If they are similar, it will fit. If it's larger, it probably won't fit.

As for mounting, there are only a hand full of rails that will work (Corbeau, Bride). For other seats, you'll most likely need to create some adapter brackets to mate to stock or aftermarket rails.

That's the exact reason to use it as a seat guide. Anything larger won't fit.

Yes this seat will fit, do a search in this section. There are two people that have this seat, one is in Australia and the other is in NJ (Oscar is his real name, forget his user name).

Im using a Recaro SPG with Bride Low Max rails. The seat is awsome fit for me (5.11"-150lbs). The rails are also great and very high quality but you wont be able to use the lowest settings without a Bride Low Max seat.

I used to use this combo but the seat was very close to the door. I now have FEED rails for my SPG and the seating position is lower and the seat clears the door better.

Anyone have any pictures of corbeau A4's in an FD?

Well what ya know, don't ya know. When I looked in to these on takakaira and rhdjapan only listed rails for the RX8. Not being able to speak Japanese, emails asking if the rails would work in a 7 was like ask my doggie.

Chuck (cewrx7r1) has them or had them in his car. He had pictures up on the forum but the links no longer work. You might PM him to see if he still has the pictures around.

might be stupidly obvious: mazdaspeed has their own line of reclinable seats probably made by recaro. why not just use those?
