17th birthday is coming up and I finally am going to have enought money to get some subs for my car (finally! the rap will sound good!) and wanted to know a few things...

1. How much are the subs that you sometimes see poking out of the car? Yo know, with what it seems is the back end poking out. (I always wanted to know that )

2. What is a good 100-200 dollar subs that are relyable?

3. How much would a decent amp cost for these?
and lastly...
4. I am curious about this, my friend told me to get a powered base speaker, is this a good idea? or is he pulling my leg
