subwoofer wiring question

two DVC 4-ohm subs. this is from cardomain...

Dual Voice Coil subwoofer wiring options

Option 1: Both voice coils wired in parallel. This is the ideal load for many subwoofer mono amplifiers. In the case of a dual 4 ohm subwoofer, this would produce a 2 ohm load.

wouldnt two dual voice coils at 4 ohms make 4 coils.. 1/4 times 4 = 1ohm? or am i missing something... i know damn well my amp cant handle one ohm, so i figured better safe to ask then try it out

What is your amp stable to?

I'd wire the voice coils from each sub in series and the two subs in parallel. That'd give you 4 ohms nominal.

if you have 4 ohm dvc subs, you can either wire them to 4 ohm or 1 ohm, not 2 ohm. Here are two ways to wire them

hope this helps.
