This is a bandpass box up front with a false bottom for the amp enclosure.

Ahh, but you have a hatch cover... now you see it, now you don't. No worry about losing a window unless you advertise it. I might invest in one... does anyone know anyone who knows anyone with one for sale?

Is that a Polk Audio bandpass box with 6x9's (2)?? I wanted one of those about 7 years ago..

HDP.. build a custom one.. w6 needs too much space.. go w0 or w1.. they aren't as good but take up lot less space, power, and almost mount them anywhere.. especially the 8's.. I had few JL's in my days.. Best is the W6's.. I had my 10w6 for about 8 years.. Still sounds great and haven't blown it.. I have blown w1's and w0s.. but thats while back.. I don't even know if they still make them... I been thinking about this also. most likely, I'm getting rid of my spare.. its pretty much useless anyhow.. I have AAA plus.. best investment ever!!

Let me know what you decide.. i would like to get some ideas.. I'm doing my speakers next.. boston pro seperates all around, and Xtant 600 series amp.. Just need to decide on the sub and where to mount them.. I'm thinking w1's.. if they still make them..

I plan to do away with my spare and construct a molded enclosure for the tire well. I've spoken to a couple of peeps and did a search on it and got some good info.

If you're looking for something that doesn't rattle your fillings, get a bass tube. Bazooka offers a ten inch that sounds decent. And it doesn't need much space. For good clarity, kicker VRs aren't bad for the price. But they'll take some space. If you want something in an enclosure, just kiss any space back there goodbye. But who buys an FD to haul things anyway? If you have cash like it's nothing. Get a completely custom job done.

I'll have to see how difficult it is... after one, I may not want to even look at another molded sub enclosure.

Here's a few links I found...
