Sub set-up in a FC
I was wondering if anyone had and links with pictures of someone's set up in there FC. I have a 90 GTU and am thinking about adding some subs but I want it to look good. I've only seen a couple of set-ups of using the spare tire space and some behind the seats, and I liked it but I would like to know how to do it. So if anyone has done it before and took some pic's or if you know of any links explaining the set up and how to do it, if you could post them to help me out. thanks

I found this link to be very helpful, its an installation in the storage bin area. http://home.rmci.net/panther/stereo.htm
Here's another link on storage bin area installation of sub + amp

I still had these links saved, but don't have the ones I found on the spare tire area installation. I ended up using the storage bin area for my set-up.

The bins location typically fire straight up or slightly forward, which creates a bad standing wave in the car actually cancelling out some of the base, often in the lower ranges.

thats right. Your subs need to fire towards the rear of the car. The waves will travel back there, bounce off the glass and then finaly drift forward to your ears all this time the waves are spreading apart and making for a deeper bass. And lets just say you have a single 12 pushin 500Watts, it will sound like crap compared to 2 10's each pushin 250Watts because the volume of air moved by two smaller cones is greater than the single big *** cone and therefore sounds even deeper still! I will say also that those storage bin lids make great 6x9 mounting surfaces!
