Question Stock to Stock?

OK, here is my newbie problem/question. I want a stock looking CD player for my FD because it has a pos tape player in it now. Is it possible to just drop in say one of these CD Players or would it require alot more than just plug and play. Basically I want a clean looking, cheap way to go because I just want to be able to play CD's, i dont need amps, new speakers, woofers, flashing lights, swimming dolphins or any of that junk. Thanks for any help or advice anyone can give me

Get a Nakamichi with the amber lighting option. It doesn't get much more understated (read classy) looking than that. They sound good too.

I just checked, its actually a tape deck. It turns out my car came with a 6 disk changer option from Mazda. I tore that out and threw it away years ago.

sorry.

rynberg: they are 330+ dollars. I dont need to waste that much on a cd player. I dont care about any super duper expensive cd players I just want to be able to play cds!

Zerobanger: thanks for the help anyway

I really like the look of that 626 cd player because hey, its from mazda so how could it not look clean in the interior of a 7. So anyone know if that stock 626 cd player will just plug up and work?

I've NEVER seen a factory mazda changer in an FD, whatever that was it wasn't factory installed...
Where was it mounted !?

It was mounted in the rear bin. it was a clarion as was my tape payer which Im 100 pct sure was factory. It plugged into the back. I assumed it was a dealer option or something.

you really didn't need the BS meter, it doesnt kill me if its a dealer option or was bought at wall mart. I tossed the thing anyway.

Then get Nakamichi's CD-45z, the precursor to the CD-400. They look almost identical and share most of the features. You can find these on eBay for about $200.
