Stock-looking stereo for FD

Here is what I want.

Stock-looking stereo with:
*CD player (no tape)
*aux input
*RCA output to amp

Anyone have any recomendations? I bought a Spirit R style (from a 2001+ Protege) stereo, but it doesn't have aux in, or RCA out, plus it uses both the stereo slots.

your best bet would be Nakamichi which is one of the best cd players around, their higher end stuff can get expensive, heres a picture of it in a g right above the arc EQ

Yeah, I've heard Nakamichi is a stock, high quality look... but the price tags are a bit high... I'll research them some more.

Does that unit play MP3s?

Don't know about MP3 playback. I know it can have an aux in (with a $50 chip), so an MP3 player could be used.

OK Thanks for the info. I was intersted since I am looking for a cheap double din radio that plays MP3s and looks stock until I cna justify spending the extra cash on a Double Din Nav unit.

The "Spirit R" radio (same thing as I got from an 2001+ Protege) looks good, as it was a stock headunit. & Some guy on the RX8 forum had a chip professionally made for the expansion bay in the stereo (where the tape deck would plug in) which creates a aux in line.

Only thing is that it has no pre-amp out & uses both DINs.
