Well I am now looking at the prosport gauges, they look pretty slick, and the electric ones do the opening and closing sweep. I will be getting the boost and water temp.
I am stuck on how to mount them now. I've heard mixed reviews on the steering mount, how it doesn't get screwed in, it just sits on top. The A pillar mounts look ok, but it seems that running wires there would be difficult. The center channel looks ok, but I enjoy having sound. So I am really torn, and advice or direction would be great!

It's really just personal preference, but I've been through all of those setups and I'd say the one I like most is a single DIN mounting plate.
With the poor stock lighting of the FD and a bright gauge in your face, the A pillar was distracting at night, and I drilled holes in my panels for to put them at eye level. The steering column isn't bad, it's easy to see on the fly, but I just prefer the stock look over it. For something like a boost gauge, I would put it in a pod where the dash speaker was.
I had Defi blue racer gauges, but now I run Prosport, and I am happy with them.

As far as fitment, I've had that Pettit pod (pictured earlier) off for one reason or another maybe a half-dozen times. I use just a little of clear silicone adhesive caulk at the tabs and it stays put with absolutely NO issues. The single 'A' pillar pod was trimmed and slid down snug btwn the 'A' pillar cover and dash....NO bolts, screws or adhesive and it doesn't move, even during Autocross events. Which is one reason I don't care for the double 'A' pillar pods. IMO they really affect your view when cornering.
