Question Stock headunit refused 2 play tape?

I dont know if anybody has this problem with the fd's. My damn head unit loves to just randomly cut off when im trying to play my tape so I can listen to my ipod. Is this typical for sevens? Anyway to fix this?

It could be one of many things...I'd try the cheapest and easiest method of using a tape cleaner you can get from any CD store. If that doesn't work, you can either try your luck and buy another 12 year old headunit from someone or I know a local guy who'll pretty much disassemble the factory headunit, clean it up, replace any non-working or worn parts, and put it back together, all w/ a 6-month warranty PM me if you're interested in going that route.
