Stereos, American vs. European
Stereos, American vs. European
I have been looking for a new car stereo with clean lines retro styling and minimalist flash for my 1980 RX-7. I have found one that I like, the Pioneer DEH-P77MP. However, I can only find it available in Europe.

Can anyone tell me if there are any differences between American and European radios? And if I would have any trouble using a European radio in the U.S. ?

Wrong, very wrong. If what you said rynberg, then american stereos wouldn't work in Europe right? The only problem with using let's say american stereos in europe is that I don't catch all the stations. In europe they use odd and even stations(97.1, 97.2, 97.3,97.4) so with that being said using a european stereo in the states would catch all the stations even the ones you don't use.

yeh, japan ones read from 68-88mhz or something close to that. US stereos pick up were they leave off. But you can instal a converter to pick US stations on a jap stereo.
