Stereos

Looking into getting a sony Cd player for my mazda anyone have any comments on how they perform good or bad?

They are complete ***. The cheap ones (but really they all are) beep constantly and just overall sound like ***. Silly high claimed power and cheap construction overall. But hey, if you're down with the Xplod or whatever, then yeah - go down to your local flea market and nab that cd player. Or save up and get something decent like a Pioneer or something kick *** like Nakamichi, Alpine, or Clarion.

Over the years i've had pioneer, denon, clarion, sony and kenwood. The kenwood one has been the best one i owned, good display, plenty of features, excellent sound and easy to use.

some of the high end sony competition stuff, as well as some of there old school stuff is great, just dont go anywhere near xplode, cos its kinda shiznit

I dunno what it is with you people against Sony. I've had one for 8+ years. The display went out after a long while, but that was due to excessive temp extremes for long times. That's now fixed. Otherwise, it's performed flawlessly. I agree that their internal amps aren't the best, but everything else I've experienced says they're not "complete ***." I also have a 2-3 year old model in the 7. Bought it refurbished. Works great.
