stereo questions. please help

here is the deal. i have the bose system with the wave in the back. i bought a alpine cd player. i was gonna just hook up the cd player with a regular harness from walmart and run new speakers to the door. ok if i buy the expensive adaptor that just plugs in then my cd player will run the bose factory speakers??? correct?? but if i want to put a sub and amp in the back do i just use the rca on the back of the alpine cd player like a normal set up. also with the expensive adaptor does that play the wave system as well?

When you say cd player, I'm guessing you mean a reciever with a cd player, correct? The harness adapter will make install much easier and power to the speakers will come from the reciever (the speaker wires are in the harness). If you are adding an amp and sub, run rca cables from the back of the reciever, tap into the remote on wire from the reciever, run your power and ground and, hook up sub to amp. If you are using a 4 channel amp and you want the amp to power the speakers, you will need to run seperate wires from the amp to the speakers. If your reciever has rca connections for front, rear and sub, you will need to run rca cables for each. This way you will be able to control tone and balance from front to back and side to side.
