stereo question

is it possible to use the stock BOSE head unit with aftermarket front speakers? If so can I use an aftermarket amp to power those speakers?

Yes, you need to buy an OEM Adapter that will conver the signal from the non-bose head unit to 2ohms for the BOSE amps to run off of. I think mine cost me 50 bucks. Just ask any stereo shop.

He's talking about a bose HU with aftermarket spkr, not an aftermarket HU with bose spkrs. I think the answer is no bc the impedence of bose HU is too low.
