Hey there, yesterday i went into my car, and when i started up my car the stereo didnt turn on, then about 1 minute later it did. The whole time i was driving home it would randomly turn off and then turn back on a bit later. Sometimes if i was just driving along it would turn off, then a bit later when i came to a stop and press the brake it would turn on, that happened a few times, with it turning on when i press the brake. Any ideas? its not a loose connection on the power cord because i have it soldered together perfectly and then taped with electrical tape as well so nothing is touching it.

Power connections? Does the anteana constantly rise and fall? Do the lights go on and off? Or does the sound just stop and start?

 

The antenna isn't currently hooked up, and the power connections seem to be fine. Yea the sound cuts out, but so does the power (ie display) on the deck. Then it just randomly turns on again.

 

id say fuses, power connection, or some wires just shaved somewhere. when i drive our 80 somethin benz wagon(the pads are a little low) everytime i step on the brake the radio gets staticky (<- cant spell). id say its a loose connection somewhere or a ground not attached all the way? i hope im not completely off

 

i used to have eletrical problems with my 7 like id be driving and the lights would fade, and then the stereo would turn off, and the stereo wouldnt turn on till the battery was charged up
so check battery, um clean the poles on it, uhh check your alternator belt

 

Bad ground!
