Speakers w/ Good Bass
My birthday is coming up and i plan on getting all new speakers and a head unit for my s4 FC. Ive decided on the Alpine CD9805 head unit. I was looking at Infinity ref speakers but many reviews said they had horrible bass. I have about $100 to spend on speakers, 2 4" dash speakers, and 2 6 1/2 in the rear. id like to get the kenwood woox woofer but i dont have enough $. Im sure any new speaker will be a huge difference from my stock 16 yr old paper ones, but can anyone suggest any speakers that have good bass? Thanks in advance.

100 for all four speakers? You're going to be hard pressed to find what you want for that little. If it were me I'd go with a nice set of Jl Audio components that'd give you good highs and good bass, for more money though I'd go with Memphis Audio.

the 4" ones are 50.
...unless that price is for one speaker...is it?

I have Infinity Reference series speakers in my first gen (4's in front, 6.5's in back). I have the older 652i's, but they use the same materials and construction techniques as the new 6002i's, so I assume that they'll sound very similar. I don't find I have any trouble getting clear, natural sound out of them. Bass and mid-bass response is good, unless you enjoy listening to bass-heavy rap at high volumes (at which point nothing but a sub will be adequate). All around they're awesome, extremely well-balanced speakers.

I'm being lazy now..... For FDs, the front speaker size is 4" diameter right? If so what's the depth? If no one answers I guess I'll search later..

if you have stock HU, look for spkr that are efficient, like rockford fosgate or pioneer or kenwood. alpine spks are not very efficient and require more amp pwr.
go to a car stereo shop and listen for differences. when trying fitment, call crutchfield. don't try fitting bigger speaker. the sound maybe good but your speaker may bump into the door panel and make buzzing sounds.
