I'm trying to firgure out if I can fit 61/2 onthe door with out having to do anything tothe door panel. If not what is the best 51/4 to fit in the door. Have any one put subs in the storage comparments in the back. If you haveI like to see some pics.

Pioneer thin mount 6 1/2" fit in the doors of my base without any cutting. Just screwed them. Anything with a big magnet will require spacers and perhaps cutting the mounting plastic...

I used 6.5" Eclipse 2-ways and just had to cut out the center of the black plastic (very easy). No spacers or further cutting was required. I am very happy with them.
This assumes you have the non-Bose stereo. The Bose has smaller speakers.

I have the 6.5 Boston Acoustic pro components in the doors of my FD, and it was a little work to make them fit, but the sound is awesome. I had the Bose setup in my touring and had to build a panel out of plywood to hold the new speakers
